Insadong / Ikseon-dong

A maze of traditional hanok cafes, tea houses, and craft shops. It is highly walkable and arguably the most practical base. Wedding Connection: ~15 minutes by taxi to Samcheonggak.

Gwanghwamun / City Hall

Best for luxury or first-timers. The grand heart of Seoul, featuring palaces, skyscrapers, and clean avenues. Wedding Connection: ~15–20 minutes by taxi.

Myeong-dong

Great for shopping! High-energy pedestrian streets packed with skincare shops, department stores, and street food. Wedding Connection: ~20–25 minutes by taxi.

Yeouido

The "Manhattan of Seoul," home to the futuristic The Hyundai Seoul mega-mall and great river parks. Wedding Connection: ~25–35 minutes by taxi.

Seongsu-dong

The "Brooklyn of Seoul," filled with converted industrial warehouse cafes and trendy fashion pop-ups. Wedding Connection: ~30–35 minutes by taxi.

Gangnam

The flashy epicenter of high-end fashion, elite nightlife, and major malls. Wedding Connection: ~35 minutes by taxi, but up to an hour in traffic.

Joseon Palace

This is Alan's favorite Korean hotel. The best of East Asian customer service with a flashy, but perhaps, far location. Modern and clean rooms and a great spa.

The Shilla

A more classic hotel with very professional and friendly customer service. The rooms are modern and clean and the hotel provides transportation services.

Conrad Seoul

Modern, convenient, and practical. Super close to transportation and slightly separated, but not too far, from all the action in Seoul.
